What Is Insomnia

Are you struggling to get to sleep at night and you find yourself tossing and turning and maybe even getting up to watch late night television? If you are wondering “what is insomnia” then you will want to know that it is a sleep disorder in which a person has trouble sleeping through the night.
If you have insomnia you could also experience trouble falling asleep or waking up constantly throughout the night. This sleeping disorder can also make you feel tired and groggy after a night of restless sleep.
We all know that if you have this problem; you do not feel good the next morning and could make you feel more tired and groggy than when you went to sleep the night before.
So now that we all know “what is insomnia” we all need to know what to do about this problem. The great thing is that most people tend to only have short term or moderate
insomnia. This means that many people tend to let their everyday problems keep them up at night. If you are one of the people who can not keep your mind quiet an you tend to let your mind wander when you get into bed at night; then one of the best things that you can do before you lie down to go to sleep is spend some time
meditating and just letting go of your day’s problems.
The normal amount of time of sleep that we need; is around 6-8 hours. It will be different depending on the type of person that you are. You will notice that you may only feel good if you get eight hours of sleep while I seem to do great on six hours of sleep
